Spring Hire - Outside Salesperson

Description of Duties

  • Engage directly with customers to identify, find, and load the requested plant material
  • Fulfill Planters’ Choice’s values of quick, efficient, and courteous customer service
  • Commit to continuous learning to ensure knowledgeable interactions with customers
  • Work collaboratively with the yard crew to perform necessary yard functions between sales
    • ie. unloading and putting away plant material, plant spacing, upkeep
  • Operate a front loader and various other tools and machinery (will be trained)

Job Requirements

  • Willingness to learn and be a part of a team; a good attitude is a must
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs and work outside in all weather conditions
  • Be able to work overtime and weekends during peak seasons
  • High attention to detail and punctuality
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous plant knowledge is highly desired

Administrative Propagation Assistant

Description of Duties

Under the supervision of the Propagation manager:

• Communicate with the Watertown and Newtown sales yard to arrange for box trucks
• Assist with assembling orders for sales yards
• Flag perennial material for large customer orders
• Print tags and signs for potted perennial material
• Maintain inventory through cycle counts, scrap and potting sheets, status updates, and data entry
• Receive in liner orders

Job Requirements

• Horticulture knowledge
• Experience with computers and the ability to quickly learn our AGS software program
• Willingness to learn and be a part of a team; a good attitude is a must
• Be able to work overtime and weekends during peak seasons
• High attention to detail and punctuality
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
