Now that the spring flowering bulbs are here, it’s time to start planning! Like everything else that we plant, a little preparation goes a long way! Probably the biggest factor for a successful planting is, you guessed it, soil/bed preparation. Rototilling, fertilizing, soil pH adjustment (if needed) adding amendments to improve drainage and aeration; all these will increase plant health, vigor, disease resistance (there are a few) and, lets face it, happy customers! Good site practices and soil preparation will increase both profits and success!
