It’s true – so much of our early spring bloomers are shades of yellow – like Witchhazel, Cornelian Cherry and Forsythia – so Pink Dawn Viburnum (Viburnum x bodnantense) is a sight to behold! This large growing shrub (8′ x 10′) blooms extra early with honey-scented, light pink flower clusters that aren’t much affected by late frosts. The dark green leaves open once blooming is finished and smell somewhat like green peppers when crushed. The reddish bark is also attractive once the cold weather sets in and the leaves drop. We currently have 3 and 6 gallon containers available. So worth tucking one in the shrub border

And if you’re a fan of bringing in branches to force in the winter, this shrub is a must!
