We have a nice selection Persian Ironwood (Parrotia persica) in sizes ranging from 3-3.5″ to 5-6″. They make a beautiful 4-season tree that’s not at all common to see. It starts off early spring with small pink flower clusters (more noticeable up close, but very interesting), then it leafs out with bright green leaves typical of the Witchhazel family. In fall the leaves are a beautiful mix of orange, red and yellow creating an outstanding sight! The tight upright branching is a nice addition to any winter landscape and is prime real estate for nesting birds come spring. Plant in well-drained soil and in full sun for the best fall color. Zone 5.
